About Lahore Climate Action Week
Founded in 2026, Lahore Climate Action Week (LCAW) unites government, business, and civil society under a single banner of resilience.
Born from the urgent need to tackle Lahore’s smog and heat crisis, we operate on a shared “public good” ethos recognizing that no single entity can solve these challenges alone.
Our mission is to mobilize Lahore’s ecosystem. By connecting industries, universities, and communities, we accelerate the transition to a green, breathable, and water-secure future.
Our Impact Goals
Lahore Climate Action Week has 3 core goals:
Building a Resilient City Moving from awareness to action. We cannot wait for the climate to fix itself. Our primary goal is to push for real, on-ground solutions that protect Lahore’s people. This means advocating for policies that actually clean our air, securing our water supplies for the next generation, and adapting our infrastructure to withstand extreme heat. We focus on results, not just discussions.
Empowering Collective Action Uniting government, business, and community. Climate change is too big for any single group to solve alone. LCAW bridges the gap between policymakers, industries, and citizens. We create a shared platform where universities share research, businesses invest in green solutions, and communities have a voice.
Championing Regional Leadership Setting a standard for the Global South. Lahore has the potential to lead. By demonstrating how a major city can adapt and thrive despite the climate crisis, we aim to set a powerful example for the region. We want to show the world that through innovation and unity, we can build a sustainable future right here in Pakistan.
